Live Webinar:

Reengineering SMF Data Management for Operational Intelligence & Analytics

December 9th at 2 PM ET/11 AM PT

IBM Z Mainframes are complex and robust ecosystems that provide many data sources to analyze system health. SMF is the prime and most reliable z/OS machine data producer for performance, workload activity, network, and security information.

However, mining SMF data for operational intelligence and data analytics is challenging due to the enormous amount of SMF records, and because DevOps organizations lack an easy way to visualize Mainframe information for data management and real-time analysis for just-in-time root cause analysis.

In this webinar, we will explore and discuss how IBM Z enterprises can:

•    Stream and transform SMF data into functional traces and metrics that can be ingested by APM, DevOps, big data, and other platforms

•    Use OpenTelemetry support for open-source & vendor-neutral SMF visibility

•    Integrate SMF with time-series databases for monitoring, querying and analyzing IBM Z performance over time

•    Understand common IBM Z visibility use cases for problem analysis, data management & root cause analysis

Please join SEA on Thursday, December 9th to see how to reengineer actionable mainframe SMF data for enterprise problem detection and analysis.
